Industrial Systems

The B-THERMIQ® system is essentially a range of premixed, liquid coatings, specifically designed to create a thermo -reflective shield. With the highest TSR rating on the market, the ultra-thin film reflects a staggering amount of heat and radiation. Uniquely tailored to your required application, you will experience immediate gains. Exclusively distributed by

B-Thermal NZ™ across New Zealand, the Pacific and other selected regions. The ease of application is designed to enhance energy performance and provide lasting protection.

This unique combination is an innovative, energy-efficient solution offering a sustainable alternative to traditional temperature regulating materials. The advanced, ultra-thin thermal coating is sprayed at 0.5mm up to 3.0mm> layered thicknesses, directly onto surface areas whereby gains are experienced immediately. B-THERMIQ® MASS maintains its performance in temperatures up to 280°C and can be sprayed directly onto hot surfaces up to 75°C- reducing the external temperature by up to 140 °C depending on usable substrate .

TECH SPEAK - Tiny (nano-tech) microspheres - hollow spheres almost half the width of human hair, are present in the mix, and are in fact traps adapted to the dimensions of the wavelength of infrared and ultraviolet radiation. The light beams falling into such a trap are reflected by 93% TSR, multiple times and in multiple directions, and are then directed towards the entrance with almost no loss of energy. This molecular behaviour creates an instant thermal shield.

Value Equivalent: R-5.7 m² x K/W | 0.5mm layer

Heat transfer takes place not only by conduction through partitions (walls, ceilings, etc), but also by radiation. Thermal radiation, or infrared radiation is a fragment of electromagnetic radiation, of which an even smaller fragment is visible light radiation. B-THERMIQ® thermal  coatings are created by properly selected resins and reflective thermal material, giving rise to these polymer microspheres.

Thermo-Reflective Shield Ultra-Thin Coating Micro Footprint Nanotech Elastomer-Formula Crack Resistant Vapour Permeability Mould Resistant Fungal/Algae Resistant Lichen Resistant Non-Toxic Asbestos Free Sulphur Resistant Anti Corrosive High PH Acoustic Suppression No Thermal Bridges Superior Adhesion Bio-Degradable Breathable No Heavy Metals Non-Flammable

B-THERMIQ® Nano-Tech coating comprises of a unique blend of ultra-thin liquid that creates a thermo-reflective shield, dispersing 93% radiant heat instead of absorbing it.

Product Application

B-THERMIQ® MASS provides a radical reduction in heat emission, in elements that cannot be thermally regulated with traditional methods. A layering of heat-regulating compound, when applied to a surface with a very high temperature (e.g. on pipes conducting hot water vapour), reduces the external temperature of the pipe by up to 140 °C depending on usable substrate.

A thermal reflective, elastomeric, acrylic and polymeric mass. Ecological coating, prepared and intended for 'use' on surfaces that reach up to 280°C. Limits heat or cold loss during fluid transfer. Eliminates thermal bridges and can be sprayed directly onto surfaces with temperatures as high as 75°C. Protects exterior against corrosion, washable and easy to maintain, resistant to mould and mildew, chemical resistant.

B-THERMIQ® MASS coating is designed as a material for thermal regulation to both inside and outside buildings, public utility buildings, hospitals, as well as  machines and equipment in the food industry within buildings. Additionally, it is used for to thermally regulate pipe surfaces in heating systems. Areas of application include: district heating pipelines, storage tanks, pressure valves, heat exchangers, equipment for hot and cold processing, etc.

Performance Benefits:

- Limits heat or cold loss during fluid transfer

- Protects exterior against corrosion

- Washable and easy to maintain

- Resistant to mould and mildew

- Chemical resistant

Performance Parameters:
- Environmentally friendly coating
- Excellent thermal regulator in a thin layer
- Creates a thermal shield, resulting in reduced energy consumption for heating or cooling
- Easy to apply
- Flexible, resistant to microcracks and highly durable
- Good adhesion to porous substrates (adhesion) and excellent adhesion to aluminium, copper, and steel
- Coatings show exceptional resistance to UV radiation and changing weather conditions
- Forms coatings with good variable diffusion properties
- Coatings demonstrate high resistance to aggressive external factors
- Can be applied in thicknesses ranging from 0.50 mm to 3 mm
- Can effectively provide thermal regulation on surfaces up to 280°C
- Low VOC content

Application:

To achieve the minimum coverage, it is recommended to apply at least two coats. The work should be carried out at temperatures between +15°C and +40°C. Before application, mix thoroughly. The thickness of the first coat should be 0.50 mm, while subsequent coats can be applied up to a maximum of 3.00 mm. Apply coats with an interval of approximately 6 hours. Use a hybrid spraying unit that enables the application of a relatively smooth coating layer on the surface. After finishing the work, clean the tools with water according to the manufacturer's instructions for the equipment.

Concept Models

Industrial and warehouse buildings / Facades of residential, office and commercial buildings / Modular and container construction / Public facilities (hospitals, schools, offices) / Renovation of facades of older buildings / Lightweight buildings where minimum insulation thickness is important / Buildings exposed to intense solar radiation , where the priority is to reduce façade overheating

B-THERMIQ® ULTRA-THIN THERMAL COATING

  • Energy Efficiency: Reduced heating and cooling costs, saving money over time.

  • Temperature Regulation: Maintaining a comfortable interior temperature, regardless of external conditions.

  • Noise Reduction: Acoustic regulation helps dampen noise, creating peaceful environment inside dwellings.

  • Condensation Prevention: Proper protection helps reduce condensation, which can damage the structure.

B-THERMIQ® System:

Total Solar Reflectance (TSR) is measured at 93%.

Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) reaches 118%, exceeding conventional cool roof materials.

Emissivity (ε) is high at 0.86, allowing surfaces to release absorbed temperatures effectively.

B-THERMIQ® products create a thermal shield that reflects heat and radiation. This shield is formed by vacuum microspheres tailored to the dimensions of thermal radiation wavelengths, acting like a labyrinth of mirrors.

With the highest TSR (Total Solar Reflectance) on the market, reflecting 93% of thermal energy and featuring high emissivity, as the radiation beam attempting to pass through it is reflected multiple times and redirected back, with virtually no energy absorption.

Key:

*TSR:         Total Solar Reflectance = Accounts for the entire reflected solar spectrum, which includes infrared (IR) heat and visible light (High % is better)

*SRI:           Solar Reflectance Index = Indicates the ability of a materials capacity to return solar energy to the atmosphere, combine light & heat readings (High % is better)

*ε:               Thermal Emissivity = Allows surfaces to release absorbed energy as heat effectively (0-100 - High is better)

*R-Value:   Mathematical Equivalent = Measures thermal resistance - slowing the cold or heat flow (High values are better)
